The transition from high school to young adulthood is a critical stage for all students and for those with disabilities, it requires thoughtful planning and goal setting. This workshop will guide families through the essential steps of transition planning, a process required for students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP). Parents of students in ninth grade and beyond are encouraged to attend as we explore key factors such as postsecondary education, career and vocational skills, and independent living. Together, we’ll define what a transition plan is, why it matters, and how it can be used to maximize your child’s future opportunities.
